The Anchorage Museum collaborates with artists, local businesses, and community partners to install art in public spaces as catalysts for creativity, conversation, and equity.

Alaska Mural Project

The Alaska Mural Project brought together a group of artists including James Temte, Will Kozloff, Crystal Worl, Ash Adams, Ted Kim, Justin DeWolf, and others, who worked in collaboration with Anchorage Downtown Partnership, Anchorage Museum, Alaska Pacific University, and other community partners to create and install murals in downtown Anchorage. The project began in the Summer of 2020 to celebrate art, urban creativity, and culture by enriching our community through mural arts. These artists believe that public art leads to an improved community as a catalyst for safety, cleanliness, creativity, and conversation.
